WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will work with innovation and product creation teams to ensure the performance and quality of Nikefootwear products. This team is part of a global organization of innovators and explorers who shatter footwear expectations. The footwear lab's scope of work spans innovation and inline products across material and finished goods.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a Senior Test Engineer in the Nike Material and Mechanical Footwear Lab with strong problem solving, results orientation, and multi-tasking skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
- A minimum of 3 years direct relevant work experience
- Education or experience in mechanical engineering, material science, or related field
- Experience in test design, data collection, data analysis, and/or equipment design is required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate technicalinformation to non-technical audience required.
- Experience with product and materials testing is required.
- Experience with statistical analysis of data required
- Basic knowledge of biomechanics and/or CAD would be a plus
- Ability to travel occasionally (5%)

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
You will complete standard materials and mechanical tests, review and analyze data, write reports and communicate the results to the teams. You will also assist more senior engineers on testing related projects,consult and train others in your area of expertise, and help identify changes in protocols or equipment within the lab to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- You will work with partner groups across innovation and product creation from concepting through production.
- You will perform a wide variety of tests and research, develop, and implement new testing procedures.
- You will develop customized footwear material and product test methods.
