Senior Director, BI Development

We're looking for a strategic and execution-focused leader with deep expertise in business intelligence, data visualization, and analytics enablement. You bring a strong track record of building and leading high-performing BI teams, delivering enterprise-scale reporting solutions, and partnering with business and technology stakeholders to unlock value through data.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Lead a global team of BI professionals, data engineering including analysts, and data visualization experts.
- Define and execute the business intelligence strategy for Geos and Marketplace Experiences (GaME), aligned with Nike's digital transformation and domain data strategy.
- Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Data Science, and Program Management to deliver robust, scalable, and user-centric BI solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders global and geo to understand needs and deliver insights that drive action.
- Develop scalable BI solutions ranging from executive-level performance dashboards to detailed operational analytics reporting tailored to specific retail channel, integrated marketplace sub-domains.
- Champion the use of modern BI tools and platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc) and promote self-service analytics across the organization. Translate business objectives into data-driven strategies that enhance operational efficiency, planning accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Establish governance and best practices for data capture, data quality, security, compliance, dashboard design, and reporting standards.
- Drive a culture of data literacy, storytelling, and insight-driven decision-making across GaME and partner functions.
- Represent the BI function in executive forums and influence strategic priorities through compelling data narratives.

clarity and speed to data-driven business decisions. As the Sr. Director of GaME BI Development you will lead a talented BI development team consisting of data analyst managers, visual engineers and data engineers. You will work hand in hand with GaME Product BI organization and our foundational Data, Analytics and Insights organization across the product and software development lifecycle.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
- 12+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data strategy, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale BI solutions in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Expertise in BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker), data modeling, and data visualization best practices.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, lake house architecture, cloud data platforms (e.g., Data Bricks, Snowflake, Azure, GCP).
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in consumer, retail domains.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the footwear, apparel, or retail industry.
- Familiarity with commerce, stores, marketplace KPIs, metrics, and operational workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and build strong partnerships across business and technology functions.
- Passion for mentoring and developing talent in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
