WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

As a member of the Footwear Development team, you will work with key multi-functional team partners like: Product Design, Product Management, Manufacturing, Operations, etc. You will need to work within the Nike matrix to ensure our products meet Footwear Development standard methodologies for product excellence. You will also drive clear and accurate communication with our Asia and manufacturing partners to ensure we are creating product that exceeds consumer expectations.

We are hiring for multiple Footwear Product Developer II positions!

Do you have a passion for sports, footwear, and delivering amazing product for athletes all around the world? We are looking for Footwear Product Developer IIs who will work with cross functional partners to create and drive our product process. You will be an integral part of our Footwear Product Team to help drive product excellence! You will convert a project brief and a 2D design rendering into a 3D sample that meets the needs of our consumer. The candidate needs to be curious, team focused, have a passion for learning, solution orientated, and demonstrate a positive approach to creative problem solving.

As our Footwear Developer II in Performance Running, you'll drive product and process excellence within a team environment for your assigned projects. Working on broader ranges projects, you will convert a project brief and a design concept into a sample that meets the needs of the consumer as well as the needs of the business. You'll utilize your knowledge and experience to enhance product excellence. Additionally, you'll ensure Fit & Performance consistency across seasons and renditions while meeting Running's 'EYE, HAND, FOOT, RUN' expectations. You'll play a critical role in the One Running team, embodying and promoting our core value "BE REAL".

As a member of the Athlete Promo Footwear Team, the footwear you create will be worn by Nike's athletes on their sport's biggest stage. You will drive unique product concepts and ensure the rigorous performance standards required by these athletes are maintained. During the creation process, you will work to bring athletes* stories to life through their footwear, pushing the edge of Nike's footwear expression forward and delivering pinnacle performance.

As a member of the Global Football Development team, you will help drive product excellence for the Global Football elite level athletes and consumers across Men's, Women's, and Kids. You will provide project and process direction within the project team to create highly technical performance product. You'll also effectively build relationships and interact with teams across Nike Footwear Product Creation and teams comprising of diverse cultures across various countries.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
  • A minimum of 2 years directly relevant work experience
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives
  • Strong team-first mentality that instills trust to deliver product excellence
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Experience in project management, with an ability to prioritize multiple work streams with competing priorities to deliver on tight timelines
  • Creative problem-solving skills from concepts to application
  • Knowledge of product construction concepts, materials, and the product creation life cycle
  • Demonstrates base level understanding of Consumer Product or Hardgoods
  • Ability to read technical drawings, sketches and/or 3D digital files is a plus
  • Knowledge of footwear pattern engineering, tooling or manufacturing processes is a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

You will lead product teams through the creation process to bring to life high-level footwear and ensure on-time delivery of product according to critical dates and performance/profitability goals. You will develop and utilize footwear knowledge to drive results and appropriately achieve project designs. You will work with multi-functional teammates to ensure manufacturability of product concepts. You will apply fundamental understanding of multiple sports and standard methodologies to identify product and testing requirements and assure product performance through physical and field-testing (fit). You will recommend and specify material, component and construction options to meet key features and product performance goals. In summary, you will engage in all phases of the creation process to ensure projects hit performance, design, costing, and sustainability goals, and can be commercialized, manufactured, and delivered on time.
