At Nike's Global Places & Services (GPS) organization, we design and bring to life physical environments and experiences for Nike and the athlete in more than 100 cities around the world. Our strategic partners and third-party providers are an integral part of our global delivery model, helping to activate GPS's key capabilities in location, built environments, events, sport, nutrition and mobility globally.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a Director of Global Partner Enablement who will build and lead GPS's Global Partner Enablement function, coordinating across multiple regions and functions to drive strategic alignment on our vision, strategy, deliverables and roles & responsibilities for external partners and suppliers. This role will lead the development of GPS's long-term partnership strategy across our six key capabilities (location, built environments, events, sport, nutrition and mobility) to find opportunities to elevate the quality, performance, value and service of our outsourced delivery model. This role will also be responsible for building a team of partner enablement experts who partner with GPS functional leaders to identify, implement and manage the relationships with our strategic suppliers around the world.

  • Expertise in leading and managing partner and supplier relationships
  • Knowledge of workplace solutions and services.
  • Ability to think strategically, developing strategic plans, relationships and leading with an enterprise approach
  • Transformative problem-solving skills with talent for orchestrating and leading strategy implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and operationalize complex programs to meet commitments that are aligned with organizational goals in a dynamic, highly matrixed, fast-paced environment.
  • High profile verbal, analytical and visual communication skills and the ability to express concepts and ideas with clarity and persuasion to influence business partners across all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to engage with user groups and to build networks with GPS and other key Nike partners
  • Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you'll be working closely with Nike leaders around the world to translate GPS's functional business strategies and capabilities into our global partnership strategy, building and managing the relationships with strategic suppliers, facilitating contract delivery, leading partner governance processes and ensuring healthy and effective two-way communication between strategic suppliers and key internal partners. You'll also be responsible for the development and implementation of global processes, tools and best practices for managing strategic partners. You'll be responsible for hiring and leading a team of four people, ensuring that the team strategy, roles and operating model are aligned and clearly understood across key partners. Finally, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key partners across the enterprise to gain an understanding of relevant information and ensure functional insights and feedback are incorporated into our partner enablement processes and engagements.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

In this role, you'll be reporting to the Sr. Director of GPS Operations and serve as a member of GPS's Operations Leadership Team. You will work closely with the members of the broader GPS Leadership team, teammates in the GPS locations around world and leaders within Nike's global functions such as Procurement and Technology. You will also responsible for building and leading a team of four based in multiple locations around the world.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 10 years directly relevant experience; experience should include comprehensive experience as a business/process leader or industry expert. Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 8 yrs; Masters + 9 yrs; Associates degree + 11 yrs; High School + 12 yrs
  • Experience: at least 8 years direct relevant work experience with progressive responsibility leading business strategy development, sourcing activations and ongoing partner relationship management.
  • A proven track record of collaborating and influencing in a highly-matrixed organization across a variety of internal and external partners.
  • Proven negotiation, contracting, financial analysis and program management skills with knowledge of legal terminology and language related to supplier agreements
  • Leadership of large-scale, cross-functional initiatives at a Fortune 500 company
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead impactful teams across multiple locations.
  • Highly-developed communication skills - in verbal, written and graphic forms
  • This role may require travel to understand and influence local initiatives and partners
