Machine Learning Engineer

This engineer will develop Machine Learning based solutions that aid in the curation and augmentation of one of the largest international entertainment data sets in the world.

What We're Looking For

    • Proven track record of building modern Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing based solutions
    • Proficiency with at least one common Deep Learning framework (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow)
    • Proficiency in Python and a data query language (e.g. SQL)Proven track record of writing understandable, maintainable and testable code
    • Familiarity with software development practices such as unit testing, code reviews, and version control
    • Experience or strong interest working with cloud computing (preferably AWS)
    • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively as required
    • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning or related field

Bonus Points

    • An advanced degree (MS or PhD) in computer science, artificial intelligence, applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning or related field
    • Experience merging and deduplicating large datasets
    • Experience working on multilingual problems
    • Experience developing search or candidate ranking systems using term-based (e.g. ElasticSearch) or vector-based (e.g. Faiss) solutions
    • Experience building internal review/labeling tools using Streamlit or equivalent
    • Proficiency in Spark using PySpark or Scala

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be $140,000 - $215,000 which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs.
