Offered Wage: $151,528/year

Duties: Provides guidance concerning the implementation of cloud-based data lake and analytics platform strategies. Stays abreast of emerging data and cloud technologies to assist with building current and target state architectures. Provides technical leadership and "best practices" concerning how data is acquired, structured, stored, processed, delivered, and visualized in a cloud environment. Researches and recommends the appropriate technologies and services for the development of data management capabilities for data warehousing, metadata management, extract, transform and load (ETL), and data streaming. Collaborates with business teams to understand their reporting and analytics needs and designs the solutions to meet them.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience as a Data Architect (or related occupation) analyzing, mapping, coding, and implementing data management solutions.

Or, alternatively:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics or a related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Data Architect (or related occupation) analyzing, mapping, coding, and implementing data management solutions.

Required Skills:
Experience must include 2 years in each of the following skills:

(1) Participating in business requirements gathering and providing guidance on the implementation of cloud-based analytics platform strategies;

(2) Performing complete project life cycle design and development, including data mapping and analysis;

(3) Designing extract, load, transfer (ETL) jobs flow, including reconciliation and data quality reports; and,

(4) Leveraging domain knowledge of Life, Accident, Disability & Leave group life insurance and the data structures required to support it.
