AV Installer

Role:

Creative Technology Ireland is seeking an AV Installer to join our team. The AV Installer will be responsible for the installation of various audio-visual systems, ranging from 1st fix to client handover and room installs to rack building. The successful candidate will have excellent technical knowledge of AV and VC systems, be familiar with installing, integrating, and configuring AV & VC equipment, and have the ability to read and interpret AV drawings and cable schedules. This role requires attending site meetings, liaising with customers and other trades on project sites, and updating the project team. Some overnight travel may be required for remote working locations throughout Ireland.

  • Install various audio-visual systems, ensuring high-quality installations
  • Integrate and configure AV & VC equipment
  • Lead a team on site, manage work rates, and delegate responsibilities
  • Ensure excellent verbal and written communication with team members and clients
  • Maintain good attention to detail to ensure consistently high-quality installations
  • Employ problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles during installations
  • Manage and prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously to meet project timelines

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in audio-visual system installations
  • Technical knowledge of AV and VC equipment
  • Good understanding of AV equipment installation requirements, such as grounds, fixings, supports, first fix, and second fix

Education or Experience:

  • Industry recognized qualifications such as Avixa, Crestron, Extron, Poly are preferred
  • Experience with cable soldering, crimping, and termination
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead a team on site
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure consistently high-quality installations
  • Good team-working and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Minimum of a Leaving Certificate or equivalent is preferred
  • Full, clean driving license is required
  • Experience working on construction sites is a plus

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of basic WAN/LAN for AV
  • Familiarity with Crestron, Extron, Kramer kit
  • Understanding of rack looming and wiring
  • Experience with LED displays
