TRANSITIONING SERVICE MEMBERS ONLY AS PART OF THE DOD SKILLBRIDGE PROGRAM OR VETERANS/ MILITARY SPOUSES AS PART OF A HIRING OUR HEROES FELLOWSHIP
To offer eligible Service Members currently approved to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program, or Veterans/Military Spouses eligible for a Hiring Our Heroes fellowship, the opportunity to gain first-hand experience and insight into Navy Federal's business, technology, resources and procedures by providing support in focused areas, applying knowledge and education. Participate in a collaborative, team driven network and interact with multiple departments. Utilize and further develop technical and soft skills, business knowledge, analytical techniques and creative problem-solving abilities. Provide professional execution of day-to-day tasks and special projects while working within established standards, policies and procedures.

To receive escalated, moderately complex and/or urgent inquiries related to member accounts, General Ledger accounts, or Navy Federal systems, policies and procedures. To research and respond to branch and member impacting escalated situations, moderately complex account errors, and system issues under supervision. To assist with comprehensive testing and implementation of enhancements to existing software, and of new systems. Perform moderately complex/ varied tasks with moderate latitude.
Responsibilities
• Analyze, research and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts/loans
• Ensure software/systems meet regulatory and procedural requirements
• Develop and recommend enhancements to improve operational processes and procedures
• Identify and detect errors/omissions; resolve or arrange for the resolution
• Participates in cross-organizational task groups concerning new automated systems, products and/or services
• Assist in leading process improvements
• Recommend corrective action when discrepancies occur
• Resolve issues relating to General Ledger accounts and/or Navy Federal systems
• Participates in testing and implementing software and/or processes
• Participates in working with other business units to resolve systems and equipment issues
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Working knowledge of branch systems and processes
- Desired - Working knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies and procedures
- Desired - Working knowledge of accounting, credit, and/or lending principles and techniques
- Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Effective skill applying research and interpretation of findings to respond to requests for information
- Effective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions
- Effective skill following, interpreting and applying relevant data/instructions to guidelines, procedures, practices and regulations
- Effective skill navigating multiple screens and PC applications and adapting to new technologies
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Salary: $22.55 - $34.52(Potential salary if hired by Navy Federal as a full-time employee: program participants are not eligible for compensation from Navy Federal, as compensation during the program comes from program owners.)
