Product Strategist III (Product Marketing Analyst)

Overview

To assist business unit management in developing and executing action plans, department policies, standards, and processes that focus on strategic, financial, and member service goals. Work with internal and external stakeholders to plan, deploy, and measure the effectiveness of marketing. Monitor and anticipate industry shifts to ensure business unit's products and services remain well positioned among their competitive sets. Evaluate the portfolio to identify opportunities to improve Navy Federal programs, products, and services. Apply broad functional knowledge and expertise to improve the performance of product campaigns and initiatives. Maintain an understanding and working knowledge of the functions, processes, and systems of other cognizant business units. Work on complex issues requiring knowledge of organizational objectives and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert regarding Savings product functions and members' communication regarding the product suite.
  • Strategize ideas for campaigns and collaborate with Marketing counterparts to execute them - champion brand and develop product positioning, value proposition, and go-to-market strategy for specific products and service offerings.
  • Monitor the performance of promotional campaigns and initiatives to provide recommendations to enhance campaign effectiveness and better business outcomes.
  • Perform analyses of members' saving habits to generate insights and assist the development of strategies to expand the portfolio, drive retention, and continuously improve member experience.
  • Conduct test and learn experiments to optimize campaign efficiency.
  • Perform market research to highlight trends and identify opportunities to enhance member experience and business results.
  • Build relationships with key corporate stakeholders (Marketing, Contact Center, Branch, etc) and act as the face of Savings product strategy & marketing to advocate, educate, and drive product take-up and enhance members' engagement through promotional and educational campaigns.
  • Participate in marketing projects with guidance from senior staff and/or management.
  • Serve on teams and task groups for projects/initiatives within the business unit &/or across the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Self-starter with creative problem-solving skills and can-do attitude.
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Marketing, Business, Finance or relevant fields
  • Strategic thinker and ability to develop comprehensive marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to synthesize results of analyses, develop and make recommendations and presents results to solve unique and complex problems.
  • Effective skill to influence, negotiate and persuade to reach agreeable exchange and positive outcomes.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in collaborating across organizational boundaries and building partnerships across various functions.
  • Advanced skill in building strategic and execution-focused plans and alliances with partner leadership.
  • Experience in leading large projects/initiatives which have business risk and impact.
  • Effective skill interacting with staff, management, vendors and members diplomatically and tactfully.
  • Knowledge of products, services, processes, requirements, and systems related to the business unit.
  • Knowledge of banking/financial industry trends, products and services.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing multiple initiatives and meeting changing requirements and priorities to accomplish objective.
  • Effective skill in the use of PCs and related software packages.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal's functions, philosophy, operations and organizational objectives.
  • Experience in working with leadership and management in diverse and complex operational environments.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
