Intern - Year Round (Desktop Process Improvement)
Overview
The Desktop Operations Management team is seeking a proactive and analytical Intern to support critical operational improvements across IT asset management, desktop support, and warehouse practices. This role is designed to help document and automate legacy workflows, optimize ServiceNow requisition processes, and bridge operational gaps-ultimately contributing to long-term cost savings and enhanced member and customer experiences.
With key team members transitioning roles and responsibilities, this intern will play a vital part in shadowing and capturing real-time workflows. The intern will collaborate closely with team leads to ensure that undocumented knowledge is preserved, translated into actionable processes, and aligned with future-state initiatives.

Responsibilities
· Shadow and document legacy workflows to preserve institutional knowledge
· Collaborate with team members to improve warehouse operations and IT asset tracking
· Analyze and streamline hardware requisition processes using ServiceNow
· Support desktop support process improvements and automation initiatives
· Assist in developing documentation that reflects current and future operational needs
· Contribute to cost-saving strategies through data analysis and workflow optimization
· Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership review
Qualifications
· Seeking an individual enrolled in a college or university degree program
· Prior experience or familiarity with ServiceNow platform for Asset Management (essential)
· Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
· Interest in IT operations, desktop support, and process improvement
· Familiarity with inventory management or IT asset tracking is a plus
· Exposure to managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
· Familiarity with data querying, reporting, forecasting, analysis and operations research, including statistical methods and modeling
· Basic research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
· Effective organizational, planning and time management skills
· Basic skill interpreting and synthesizing large amounts of information
· Effective skill following, interpreting and applying relevant data/instructions to guidelines, procedures, practices and regulations
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
· Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills
· Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadline
