Financial Intel Analyst IV (OFAC Compliance)

Overview

We are seeking a globally aware and detail-oriented OFAC Compliance Analyst to support our enterprise-wide sanctions compliance program. This role ensures adherence to U.S. Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations and global sanctions regimes, with a strong emphasis on foreign policy developments and cross-border risk.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret U.S. regulations, foreign policy developments and global geopolitical events that may impact sanctions risk.
  • Translate and interpret foreign-language documents or communications relevant to sanctions investigations (if applicable).
  • Conduct real-time and retrospective screening of individuals, entities, and transactions against OFAC and other global sanctions lists.
  • Investigate and escalate potential sanctions matches, document findings and decisions in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to internal stakeholders on OFAC regulations and foreign policy implications.
  • Support the development and enhancement of the sanctions compliance program, including risk assessments, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and other business units to ensure enterprise-wide awareness of sanctions obligations.
  • Assist in audits, regulatory exams, and internal investigations related to sanctions compliance.
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions on OFAC and global sanctions topics.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience related to OFAC and international sanctions.
  • Strong understanding of OFAC regulations, U.S. foreign policy, and global sanctions regimes.
  • Regional, cultural and/or foreign language expertise relevant to any OFAC sanctions programs (including but not limited to Arabic, Belarussian, Farsi/Persian, Korean, Russian, Spanish, and Ukrainian).
  • Excellent analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with OFAC Screening Software, transaction monitoring systems and research tools such as Verafin and LexisNexis.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Business, Law, or a related field.
  • Certified Global Sanctions Specialist (CGSS) from ACAMS
  • Association of Certified Sanctions Specialists (ACSS).

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
