Overview

To assist in setting the department level strategy and serve as a key stakeholder in employee-focused programs, projects, and initiatives that align with the enterprise's and department's employee-powered focus. Works in tandem with leadership to translate, blend, and align department level strategy and culture; offer strategic, enriching workforce-driven solutions. Plan, develop, and implement multi-faceted programs, initiatives, processes, workshops, and manage employee-focused feedback channels to ensure effective program/initiative delivery and administration om schedule and within budget. Leverage data, industry insights and best practices to recommend improvements to initiatives and processes impacting the employee experience. Assist in leading moderately complex/varied tasks with significant impact and considerable latitude. Works independently with governance from senior management and executive leadership. Serves as a subject matter expert in employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Influence and set strategy enabling employee experience by providing insight-rich recommendations based on team member experience and industry trends
  • Align and streamline programs and initiatives with enterprise and department efforts, collaborate and incorporate best practices into department programs that meet Navy Federal and department objectives and standards
  • Manage employee experience programs with iterative and continuous improvements that shape the culture, future workforce and bolsters commitment to the organization, listening and responding to employee feedback
  • Develop change management strategies, tools, training materials and resources to help leaders successfully implement and drive results that support effectiveness and the overall employee experience
  • Support and present to executive leadership messages that reinforce programs, initiatives, culture, morale boosters, and reporting on employee satisfaction using the latest data
  • Analyze and share insights on leadership performance trends from sources such as but not limited to annual Enterprise Engagement Survey, Leader 180 Program, Engagement Champion Program, and branch-level surveys to senior leaders
  • Leverage data, industry insights and best practices to recommend improvements to initiatives and processes impacting the employee experience.
  • Determine leadership development opportunities and collaborate with business partners to support employee engagement and retention activities
  • Drive employee engagement by identifying opportunities to collect employee feedback, glean insights, share key themes with senior leadership, and partner on a variety of initiatives; lead post-event/program retrospectives for growth opportunities and improvements.
  • Provide analysis of program/initiative results including expenses, participation, employee feedback and recommendations for improvement
  • Innovatively identify and collaborate with management regarding the current and future needs and trends for programs and initiatives based on feedback
  • Support enterprise-level recognition platforms, advance and maintain scalable, recognition programs/opportunities
  • Regularly report key data, program activities, and achievement metrics to senior leadership
  • Train and support company leaders on engagement, retention, onboarding/off boarding (employee lifecycle)
  • Facilitate employee experience planning and knowledge sessions with managers and supervisors
  • Lead, plan and execute large and/or complex initiatives and events from conception to completion through project life-cycle (including work plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables) in accordance with business expectations and timelines.
  • Planning and coordination of logistics and activities related to multi-location initiatives
  • Maintain program documentation and SOPs
  • Nurture a forward-looking, optimistic, internal culture and winning vision to keep employees connected to Navy
    Federal's culture and Navy Federal's current strategic goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in managing multiple priorities and initiatives, and meet changing requirements and priorities to accomplish objectives and goals, independently or in a team environment
  • Significant experience in collaborating across organizational boundaries and building partnerships across various functions
  • Innovative thinker, proactive mindset and enthusiastic
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, including verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, ability to communicate complex terms to all levels of audiences
  • Proven track record in leading and managing change
  • Ability to effectively define, communicate and promote cultural change
  • A genuine and heartfelt passion for people and their experience of work
  • Ability to address sensitive information and difficult situations with tact, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Experience in market/consumer research, project management, and analysis of strategic planning initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data/metrics and collect employee feedback to measure program effectiveness, identify key themes and opportunities to enhance employee engagement, programs, initiatives and employee experience
  • Experience in analyzing statistics, compiling and presenting research to determine program effectiveness and trends
  • Advanced skill in presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives, proposing new solutions and information clearly and concisely to meet employee and organizational needs
  • Compile data summaries and reports to provide to leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people at all levels from hands-on operational workforces to senior stakeholders and leadership
  • Experience leading or delivering employee engagement activities that feature a strong element of employee voice
  • Effective in managing cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects of the highest complexity which have business risk and impact
  • Ensure functions are successfully executed as planned, meet deadlines and completed within budget; research and resolve problems as they occur
  • Participate in employee experience planning and knowledge sessions with leadership
  • Advanced planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of project management lifecycles and management methodologies; PMP or CSM desired or equivalent combination of training, education and experience
  • Experience in workflow and program development including development of requirements documents, procedures, and implementation plans (e.g., SOPs, ADO, Checklists, etc.)
  • Experience in leading, training, guiding and mentoring others
  • Experience and skill with digital collaboration tools, survey tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint,
    Asana
  • Working knowledge of Navy Federal policies, procedures, instructions, automated systems software and NCUA policies, instructions and regulations
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
