POSITION SUMMARY
Natera has built a highly complex software system that manages large amounts of genomic information. The Engineering team is responsible for developing and maintaining business critical applications that are both customer and internal facing that work with this genomic data. We are looking for a Sr Application Security Engineer to help build secure, reliable, and compliant software solutions. As a Sr Application Security Engineer, you assess applications, implement security controls, remediate and mitigate vulnerabilities, and champion secure design. You will partner closely with Natera's Director of Security Engineering, as well as Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, and Software Development to implement secure engineering practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in the implementation, adoption, and support of security tooling including SAST, SCA, IaC, and DAST
• Conduct in-house manual code review and offensive assessment for internally developed applications
• Support Vulnerability Management processes, remediation, mitigation, and tracking
• Work closely with the Director of Security Engineering to support Software Development, QA, and Technical Product Management to integrate secure engineering practices throughout the Software Development Lifecycle
• Perform threat modeling and promote secure design and integration of controls for Monitoring, Auth/n/z, Secure
Networking, Secrets Management, Data Confidentiality and Integrity in Transit/Storage/Memory, Non-Repudiation, and
other foundations of secure architecture
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or similar, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of security engineering experience
• 5+ years of experience with technical requirements, design, testing, and implementation of security tools and
technologies
