Group Description

The Securitized Products Group provides a variety of structured products and tailor made financing and hedging solutions across all major asset classes to MUFG Wholesale clients and investors. Securitized Products is a market leader in bank and asset backed commercial paper funded securitization facilities and is a leading arranger in the U.S. Securitized Products focuses on originating, structuring and either retaining for our portfolio or on the capital market side distributing and trading Asset Backed Securities (ABS) and Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) transactions.

Job Description

This individual will provide support to Primary ABS Structuring/Origination and "warehouse facilities". He/she will interact with ABS Issuers, Senior Execution team members, Middle Office and Operations, Syndicate, Sales, Legal Counsel, and Investors throughout all phases of the deal. This person will assist in negotiating and marketing of new issue transactions and will utilize analytical tools and models to produce structure results and reports.

Role Start Date: June 2023

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support in the origination and execution of conduit and term ABS transactions, which includes analysis, idea generation and execution

    • Develop pitch book materials to support the conduit and term ABS financing and issuance efforts
    • Review and analyze portfolio specific data and cashflows, coordinate internal processes related to conduit financing, and execute conduit and term ABS transactions
    • Aid senior team members in relationship development with clients including responding to requests, generating detailed analyses and maintaining databases
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders such as credit, syndicate, sales and trading teams and with third parties such as legal counsel, accountants, rating agencies and investors to execute transactions
  • Participate in special assignments and projects as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required by start of role
  • Prior ABS experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Results driven, with a strong sense of accountability
  • Strong decision making skills, the ability to demonstrate sound judgment
  • A pro-active, motivated approach
  • The ability to operate with urgency and prioritize work accordingly
  • A creative and innovative approach to work
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • MUFG will not hire individuals for internships or entry-level positions whose work eligibility is based on their F-1 or other student visa status.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis and would not require visa sponsorship now, or in the future.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $95,000 - $100,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
