This is a remote position. The selected colleague will generally be expected to work at an MUFG office periodically. A member of our recruitment team will discuss location preferences with you in more detail.

Job Summary

In this role you will serve as a bridge between technology teams and the business, and focus on analyzing, documenting, and validating business needs in relation to system functionality. You will have a strong understanding of the issues and competing priorities of the business. You will be an expert in one or more business areas and understand how it fits into the enterprise.

Major Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include translating business needs into functional system requirements; mapping existing system capabilities to business requirements; understanding current and future state system functionality and how the business leverages technology and key data points to meet its needs; and, as needed, supporting strategy definition, defining goals and requirements for programs and projects, and supporting continuous improvement in technology and processes.
  • You will develop, test, implement, and provide end-user training and support of a wide variety of the bank's division-specific systems and processes; serve as the business expert for the development, maintenance, training, regulatory compliance, and support of all processes; coordinate business unit efforts required for project implementation and oversee all required implementation tasks to ensure business unit satisfaction; formulate and define complex systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements; perform complex projects to assess business needs and recommend technical solutions; provide technical guidance to colleagues; works on problems where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors; exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Implement support of a wide variety of the bank's division-specific systems and processes
  • Support all processes related to systems
  • Perform system administrative, configuration, and reporting functions
  • Run database queries or create reports in support of management information needs
  • Formulate and define moderately complex systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements
  • Perform less complex projects to assess business needs and recommend technical solutions
  • Provide technical guidance to colleagues
  • Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors
  • Lead others to assign, coach, and deliver the project delivery life cycle, completing required outputs
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
  • Ability to coach and lead others

Qualification

  • At least 6-8 years' experience as a Business Analyst
  • 5 years' experience in banking or finance industry
  • Deep experience in the banking or finance industries preferred; basic understanding required
  • Understanding of regulatory environment and compliance concerns preferred
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong Office 365 and presentation skills
  • Effective use of collaboration tools
  • Proven ability to solicit, define, and deliver business requirements
  • Experience working in a systematic project management delivery process
  • Experience defining creative solutions to meet business needs.
  • Experience delivering complex projects

The typical base pay range for this role is between $120K - $170K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
