Job Summary:

This position is responsible for production of various portfolio level reports to provide transparency and escalate risks and issues to the wide range of stakeholders. This role is also responsible for conducting data analytics and working with the Lines of Business Portfolio Management Office / Projects Managers to ensuring quality of their project reporting.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Execute processes required to create, review, and submit required Portfolio reporting to the appropriate committees, ensuring transparency into portfolio health and outcome / benefits
  • Partner with Line of Business, Finance, Resource Management, and other PMO functions to effectively execute reporting processes
  • Ensure reporting data is accurate, complete, and comprehensive
  • Comprehensive understanding of status of Portfolio, inclusive of project/ program updates, execution risks related to budget, scope, timeliness, lessons learned, etc.
  • Evaluate programs and projects against metrics, tolerances, and escalation thresholds and monitor and inform stakeholders when risks are identified in initiative execution and adherence.
  • Develop and improve processes to intake key reporting data, ensuring all required project data is collected and reviewed
  • Identify and implement opportunities to increase report automation where possible
  • Quality review program and project status reporting:
    • Understanding of causes of project or portfolio issues regardless of whether technical or business, translate the technical/process/business centric terms into general business terms and create relatable messages
    • Be familiar with the characteristics and priorities of the business and the portfolio of individual LOBs in order to analyze and assess the portfolio health of each LOB
    • Use the insight to the business, portfolio and projects, in order to detect and evaluate project and portfolio execution risks for the LOB and provide the PMs and PMO Managers with guidance on escalation of the risks
    • Develop efficient models to perform various types of portfolio data analysis and produce portfolio level statistics that will be an input for project portfolio reporting, according to the manager's direction
    • Analyze the month-to-month portfolio trend and identify reasons for changes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years of proven project management experience and the ability to drive change across Lines of Business and within stakeholder teams at the leadership level of large-scale organization
  • Excel - advanced standard; knowledge of how to download and manipulate large data sets e.g., define project management dashboards from multiple reports
  • MS Office - intermediate knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, MS Teams, Visio and Access; advanced knowledge of MS Teams and available toolset (e.g. Power BI)
  • SharePoint - advanced knowledge
  • Tableau - intermediate/advanced knowledge with ability to create tableau reports from scratch
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical; and data synthesizing skills
  • Ability to create strong visuals and presentation to attract the audience's attention to the right subjects
  • Ability to make technical information fresh, interesting, readable and relevant to non-technical readers
  • Ability to work iteratively, and produce interim deliverables on a same-day or next-day basis when so required
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate complex issues and ideas with clarity
  • Strong research skills and work ethic, with the ability to gather and scan the right sources quickly, gleaning the data points of highest value
  • Ability to holistically problem solve and "drive to yes", by clearly defining goals and interdependencies
  • Flexibility and learning agility; quick to adapt different and new ways of doing things; eager to try new things and present new ideas

The typical base pay range for this role is between $95K - $120K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
