Your key responsibilities
• Develop Data Integrations: Build robust integrations for collecting, normalizing,, loading, and validating financial data from a multitude of third-party sources.
• Construct Automated Data Pipelines: Design and implement data pipelines that automate the full cycle from API data retrieval to loading normalized data into PostgreSQL databases.
• Collaborative Problem Solving: Regularly engage in pair programming with team members, fostering a shared understanding of the codebase and accelerating the development of robust data solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Apply Test-Driven Development methodologies to ensure the reliability and accuracy of data pipelines, and continually assess and refine these systems to meet evolving data needs.
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
• Transforming and Normalizing/Denormalizing JSON/CSV Data in Python: Experience synthesizing complex data from APIs with many endpoints into a normalized internal structure. Proficient in data manipulation using Python libraries like Pandas and NumPy, with a focus on data cleaning and ETL processes.
• Integrating and Authenticating with Third-Party APIs to Request Data: Experienced in handling OAuth, API rate limits, and error handling for efficient data integration.
• Building Data Pipelines Integrating Python, Postgres, and BigQuery: Skilled in developing scalable data pipelines using Python, with a strong understanding of PostgreSQL and BigQuery.
• Experience with TDD and Property-Based Testing in Data Pipelines: Proficient in test-driven development (TDD) and property-based testing using Python testing frameworks such as Pytest.
• Serverless Deployments/Google Cloud Functions: Expertise in deploying and managing serverless architectures on Google Cloud Platform, with a focus on cloud-native application development.
• Creating Automated Solutions for Complex Manual Data Processes: Strong analytical skills in automating data workflows and optimizing complex manual data processes for efficiency.
