Account Executive, Professional Sales

OVERVIEW

This is an opportunity to join the newest team under the Revenue organization at Morning Brew; our Professional Sales team is dedicated to building and growing out our brand partnerships across Morning Brew’s seven B2B brands. We have been building these professional brands out for years, and recently launched a sales team dedicated to their growth and the success of our B2B partners. We focus on high-growth B2B accounts that are looking to achieve a variety of marketing goals by tapping into the Morning Brew audience and our suite of advertising products. 

We’re seeking a self-starter with a strong bias to action and proven experience prospecting, pitching, closing and growing business relationships with executive-level marketers at high-growth accounts.

This individual should have a passion for the digital media and the ability to proactively identify target customers, tirelessly ask questions to learn about their marketing/growth needs and build tailored recommendations based on those needs that leverage all appropriate aspects of the Morning Brew ecosystem.  

This is not a typical sales role. Just as we provide the best daily business experience to our readers, we work tirelessly to understand the marketing goals of our advertisers and develop creative and tailored campaigns that WOW our brand partners without jeopardizing the quality of our voice and brand.

Our positions are remote hybrid; however, we have a strong preference for employees who can work from our Morning Brew HQ in NYC.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON
- Hunting/Prospecting: As this is a net-new sales team, the opportunities for partner expansion are endless – we’ve just got to chase them down. Our ideal candidate will have experience and interest in building out target lead lists leveraging a multitude of datapoints, and building custom outreach strategies to get them in the room. 
- Value Selling/Pitching: This candidate will work across our seven B2B brands and have a multitude of advertising products/placements in their toolkit; it is the job of our team to tirelessly ask questions and learn about our prospective clients and their needs to creatively 
- Managing a full-cycle sales pipeline from initial prospecting and qualifying to pitching and closing and then ultimately renewing and upselling your dedicated book of business.
- Work collaboratively across teams of internal stakeholders (AM, Creative, Pricing/Packaging, Editorial) to build best-in-class media plans that help our clients meet and exceed their goals and help our team meet and exceed our revenue goals. 
- Maintain accurate and timely customer/prospect, pipeline, and forecast data in our CRM, and proactively aggregate and share customer feedback with leadership team.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 2- 8 years experience in a B2B sales role, including at least 2 years of closing experience, preferably in adtech, martech or media
- Experience negotiating, closing and managing six-figure contracts with executive-level buyers and agencies
- Ability to track, forecast, and report on key pacing and performance metrics that will ensure you hit your goals and the entire team is successful
- Strong familiarity with digital advertising performance metrics, audience reach and engagement data, ad pricing metrics and other data points used externally throughout a sales process
- Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills – teamwork makes the dream work!
- Ambitious, resilient, and driven – this candidate should be a self-starter who is not afraid to get their hands dirty in order to accomplish our goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for Morning Brew and its franchises, products, and audience strongly preferred

COMPENSATION $70,000 - $150,000 base DOE + commission *Final offers for this job will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided, commensurate with experience. Total offer package to include benefits highlighted under our perks section below.
