Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC seeks a Vice President, Strats in New York, New York Work directly with internal senior stakeholders to understand both the tactical and strategic business needs. Perform data analysis to drive economic and operational efficiencies. Convert high level business requirements into achievable goals, leveraging technologies including KDB+/Q, DB2, Sybase, Python, Tableau and Excel. For larger projects, work with our colleagues in technology, risk, compliance and legal to ensure all regulations are being followed, and help delegate tasks to those groups. Leverage security lending business knowledge to consider risk impact and revenue opportunities, working both independently and as part of a team, focusing on the high priority projects and tasks. Build user friendly, supportable, and scalable dashboards and tools using data analysis techniques. Support existing tooling that traders leverage to significantly improve their efficiency and highlight data discrepancies. Telecommuting permitted up to 1 day per week.Salary:Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $215,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.Requirements:Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field and four (4) years of experience in the position offered or four (4) years as an Associate, Analyst or a related role in the technology field. Requires three (3) years of experience with: Data analysis in the financial industry; developing applications in high level programing language including Python; database programming using KDB/Q, Sybase or DB2; data visualization tools including Tableau or Excel; working directly with stakeholders or clients.
