Basic Function:Provide advanced investment administrative support to municipal bond department.Primary Responsibilities: * Provide support to investment team and prepare related reports to portfolio managers, trading desk and research. * Coordinate Bloomberg bid wanted including trade confirmation with broker dealer. * Assist with offerings made to Broker Dealers as well as checking integrity of offering lists. * Work with Traders, PMs on upcoming competitive and negotiated deals. * Assist with the management of electronic trading platforms. * Interact with municipal dealer community. * Update spreadsheets as needed. * Liaise with compliance and operations to resolve any administrative issues that arise. * Build relationships with support teams to ensure effective and timely resolutions.Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. * Basic understanding of financial markets. * Strong attention to detail. * Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Tableau) and the ability to learn various systems as necessary. * Ability to work flexibly and adapt as a team member. * Effective communicator with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. * Strong service orientation to dealings with internal and external customers. * Ability to self-start, prioritize, and execute highly detailed tasks. * Desire to pursue CFA designation.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
