Wealth Management Product Technology (WMPT) is a dynamic and fast-paced organization within the Firm's Wealth Management Technology Division. We are responsible for creating innovative technology for our Banking, Advisor, and Investment Solutions businesses. This includes platforms and functions such as Deposit, Lending, Financial Planning, Capital Markets and Advisory. Position Description:

Morgan Stanley is seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to lead a global technology organization responsible for the modernization, scalability, and resilience of our core processing platforms. This executive will be instrumental in driving platform transformation across Trade Processing & Adjustment Platforms & Risk Management Systems that power the firm's Wealth Management business. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role for a visionary technology executive who can align engineering excellence with business priorities, manage global teams, and influence division-wide initiatives. Key Responsibilities

> Engineering Excellence: Lead design and Architecture of mission critical distributed applications ensuring high quality scalable and reliable solutions. Oversee large-scale development using modern technologies (Java, Spring, Kafka, Microservices, Kubernetes, Angular/Javascript). > Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the multi-year technology roadmap for core processing platforms supporting various asset classes. Accountable for decisions that influence teams resources, budget, tactical operations and implementation of processes and procedures. Influence peer leader and senior stakeholders across business, product and technology teams > Program Delivery: Manage complex cross-functional initiatives with stakeholders from Product, Operations, Risk, and Compliance.

> Talent Leadership: Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing global team of engineers across. Serve as a role model fostering a culture of innovation, craftsmanship and a solution-oriented mindset. > Regulatory & Risk Alignment: Ensure all platforms are compliant with internal controls and external regulations. Required Qualifications

15+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in technology leadership roles. Proven experience managing large-scale, distributed systems preferably in financial services (brokerage, trading, or wealth platforms preferred). Expertise in: > Core Java and distributed systems architecture > Kafka, event streaming, microservices, containerization > Expertise in building Cloud Ready Distributed Applications, DevOps, and CI/CD best practices > Experience in Mainframe modernization strategies is a plus Demonstrated success leading global teams and multi-year transformation initiatives. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive presence.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in post-trade processing, back-office systems or capital market products. Prior leadership of budgetary planning, vendor management, or enterprise-wide technology programs. Thought leadership in AI/ML, data strategy, or platform reusability.
