Sports Coverage Strategy, Analyst
About the role
Our New York City office is looking for an Analyst to join the Morgan Stanley Sports Coverage Strategy Team. The successful candidate will work directly for the Head of Sports Coverage Strategy on a wide range of transactions, events, and opportunities. The successful candidate will work closely with professionals across the Firm to deliver high quality advice to our clients and internal partners. You will play an important role on a team that will encourage you to go beyond the numbers and think creatively.
The Morgan Stanley Sports Coverage Strategy Team is positioned at the Firm level and works with all divisions to coordinate the various sports activities. Morgan Stanley interacts in the sports ecosystem across a number of areas at the Firm, including Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Global Capital Markets, Fixed Income Division, and Asset Management.
As an Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the identifying and cataloguing of key sports relationships across the Firm
- Drafting meeting materials and presentations on behalf of the team
- Organizing call notes, follow-up discussions, and relevant metrics
- Supporting financial management, enablement of business initiatives and coordination with other groups
- Preparing management updates and commentary
Qualifications
- High level of motivation, focus on work quality, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and decision-making abilities
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience in sports industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical, quantitative, adaptive, hungry, a self-starter, a leader, a team player, a multitasker, and a results-oriented individual
- Interest in sports ecosystem and learning about sports investing, financing, sponsoring, ownership, etc.
- 1+ years of experience

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 75,000 and 110,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
