Senior Reliability Engineering Specialist, Vice-President (Hybrid)

We're seeking someone to join our team as a Senior Reliability Engineering Specialist in Identity and Access Management to provide expertise in design, deployment, optimization, maintenance and troubleshooting of LDAP-based directories.

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Cyber Security Engineering position at Vice President level, which is part of the job family responsible for providing specialist cyber expertise and creating solutions that protect the organization's systems and networks against actual and potential security threats and vulnerabilities.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Design, implement, and maintain our LDAP directory on Linux systems to support authentication and authorization needs.
  • Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues related to directory services including replication, synchronization, access problems and query optimization.
  • Analyze data from multiple sources to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, stability and observability.
  • Create software to automate administrative tasks.
  • Improve deployment automation pipelines for speed and repeatability.
  • Work with colleagues, product owners and leadership to help formulate and implement directory services strategy.
  • Mentor junior team members

What you'll bring to the role:
  • At least 7 years' relevant experience in technology in a large organization or a heavily regulated industry.
  • Programming ability (Preferred: Python, also: other object-oriented languages such as Java)
  • Experience with DevOps in a Linux environment, including exposure to networking, CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab CI/CD), configuration management (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Terraform), and application containerization (e.g. Docker, Podman, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with Directory Services and LDAP is desirable but not required
  • Experience working within an agile framework with associated tools (e.g. Jira).
  • Strong and proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner to technology and business leadership, stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work both independently and within a globally distributed team.
