Senior Data Engineering Lead - VP

Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization and discuss opportunities for improvement to existing and future technology solutions. Architect and build the modern cloud based data warehouse platform, including transition from legacy. Develop and support of Data Ingestion Framework (using Spark, Python, Snowpipe etc.) Database and ETL/ELT development, including stored procedures, queries, performance tuning, archiving, etc. Implement DevOps techniques and practices to enable efficient development processes and an evergreen platform. Provide strategic direction for data engineering initiatives and roadmap. Collaborate with, and lead a small team of data engineering professionals. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment to drive innovation and high performance. Drive innovation in data engineering through continuous learning, identifying and enabling new capabilities. Communicate progress, challenges, and milestones to senior leadership. Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with Technical and Non-technical stakeholders. 8+ years of relevant experience and proven track record of technical analysis, design, development, integration with, and implementation of enterprise systems. Ability to effectively manage multiple functions or guide junior staff and initiatives. Excellent leadership and decision-making skills to drive team performance. Proficiency in data warehousing concepts (i.e. data modelling, data transformations), cloud data warehousing and distributed data sourcing solutions. Extensive experience with programming languages such as Python and SQL. Hands on experience with Snowflake Good understanding of Unix shell scripting Knowledge about DevOps implementation in Data space Extensive experience in building and scaling data pipelines, solutions, platforms and architectures, with 5+ years developing ETL flows. Demonstrated success in aligning data strategies with business objectives. Strategic mindset to drive innovation and continuous improvement in data engineering solutions. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
