Risk Management, FRTB Lead, Vice President London JR013223The role will reside within Firm Risk Management's Market Risk Department. The Market Risk Management Division (MRD) is responsible for the independent identification, analysis, reporting and escalation of all market risk exposures arising from business activities, acting independently of business management and providing an effective challenge process.The role sits within the Portfolio Analysis, Governance & Controls team and will report directly to the Global Head of Portfolio Analysis, Governance & Controls who is based in London. The successful candidate will provide coverage for a suite of regulatory deliverables with a focus on Morgan Stanley Fundamental Review of Trading Book (FRTB) Program. A philosophy that balances personal lifestyles, perspectives and needs is an important part of our culture.What will you be doing? • Key member of the team to drive the FRTB Program plan globally, ensuring it is up-to-date and that milestones are achieved • Ensure that FRTB process is embedded in the Market Risk Department • Lead the FRTB Market Risk Portfolio team to review, control, and explain the inputs and consequential outputs of FRTB capital to stakeholders, including senior management • Identify and implement solutions for various work streams within the FRTB program, such as Standardized Approach, SA-CVA, Data Quality Controls and related regulatory deliverables • Lead the relationship with teams across Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology to ensure delivery of cross-divisional projects as well as interface with regulatory bodiesWhat we're looking for: • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent • 5+ years of Risk Management experience (including working on cross-functional projects) • Market risk management background with strong analytical skills and desk coverage experience • An entrepreneurial mindset and the motivation to develop new risk processes and frameworks • Strong attention to detail, project management experience and prioritisation skills • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, both written and verbally • Strong organizational skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple high priority deliverables • Confidence to take ideas forward and to challenge others, where appropriate, with experience in management by influence, facilitating and gaining consensusSkills that will help you in the role: • FRM qualification (preferred) • Ability to work independently in a self-directed way in a collaborative, team-oriented environmentWhere will you be working?
