Position Summary:
Private Wealth Management (PWM) is the boutique business within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management that is exclusively focused on the ultra-high net worth (UHNW) client segment. The PWM team in Mumbai works closely with PWM COO Team, UHNW Advisor Solutions & Innovation Team, MS Wealth Canada, and the UHNW Risk and Service teams. The Team Lead plays a critical role in the development, analysis, and execution of a broad range of strategic and tactical business initiatives, including: overall PWM business strategy; client service and operations strategy, enhancement of PWM processes and capabilities, UHNW product development; platform integration, and the implementation of firm-wide initiatives.
The PWM Team Lead Vice President will serve a key liaison between offshore and onsite teams and work closely with business partners to ensure delivery excellence.
Responsibilities include:
- Drive the strategy, development and project mgmt. for critical UHNW strategic initiatives (e.g., new service offerings, asset growth opportunities, process enhancements)
- Daily oversight of the Specialty Segments teams based in India, including: PWM Analysts, Risk, Service, MS Wealth Canada
- Identify, evaluate, and execute operational improvement opportunities across strategic initiatives
- Assist in breaking down complex initiatives into discrete work streams aligned to strategic goals
- Liaise and collaborate with key partners across other groups within wealth management (Product, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Technology, etc) to ensure seamless execution of initiatives
- Be results oriented and quickly turn around high quality work in a fast paced environment.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of overall professional experience required, preferably in consulting, financial services, wealth management and/or business strategy & management
- Strong track record of academic and professional excellence and achievement
- Self-starter who will take initiative, learn quickly and work independently
- High level of attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and superior PowerPoint skills
- High degree of professionalism, positive attitude, and good judgment
- Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-moving environment
- Ability to provide impactful business solutions and apply critical thinking to all tasks
- Desire to understand the PWM business and the different needs of the UHNW client and advisor
