Public Relations Vice President

The dynamic candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in public relations, including media relations, preferably with a focus on the financial services sector. The position requires strong writing and editing skills, including the ability to communicate complex subject matter in a highly regulated environment; a high degree of familiarity with media outlets and reporters, preferably those that focus on the asset management industry; effective organizational skills and attention to detail; and the ability to work well under short-term deadlines. Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120,000 and $205,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Serve as a key communications advisor to select MSIM portfolio management and distribution teams to build out media campaigns that support business goals. Set communications goals, develop media plans, pitch story ideas, draft press releases, manage inbound media inquiries, coordinate interviews with executives, and serve as a media spokesperson when appropriate. Engage proactively with media to generate positive coverage of MSIM's initiatives and thought leadership Work with business leaders and stakeholder to manage reputational risks. Coordinate with communications professionals across the global firm to ensure consistent, coordinated message delivery and work to highlight the power of the integrated firm. Qualifications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to provide effective editorial and messaging guidance Strong attention to detail with solid organization and time management skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment with the ability to make sound decisions quickly and handle multiple tasks concurrently Independent, resourceful and a self-starter An enthusiastic, positive team player willing to help and work well with colleagues Confident communicator who can build relationships internally and externally
