Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. IST's 'clients' include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, Prime Brokerage and Global Capital Markets.
Reliability & Production Engineering (RPE)
Resiliency Engineering is a production-oriented discipline focused on improving service availability, latency, scalability, performance, and efficiency for technology products in Morgan Stanley. Our core infrastructure processes hundreds of millions of transactions and we serve assets of more than a trillion dollars daily. This role will be responsible for the design & implementation of the platform, and corresponding frameworks, application and gameday exercises, for testing critical applications at scale. Software Production Management & Reliability Engineering
This is Director position that oversees the production environment, ensuring the operational reliability of deployed software, and implements strategies to optimize performance and minimize downtime.

What you'll do in the role:
- Strong background in production support role with minimum 8+ years of experience.
- Strong incident management skills with the ability to handle critical situations.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Strong hands on experience of UNIX, Database Concepts, SQL Queries and Database Performance.
- Experience working with application Monitoring/Alerting Tools (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus etc.).
- Strong coding/scripting skills: Python / Perl / Shell (Any one).
- Understanding of schedulers (Autosys, Control M etc.)
- Excellent communication (written & oral both) and analytical skills.
- Excellent Stakeholder Management skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, I.T, or a related technical/ engineering field.

- Familiar with Banking Financial Products like Fund Services, Equity and Fixed Income, Securities, different types of risks in an investment bank, Trade flow would be plus.
