Network Operations Specialist (multiple opportunities)

We are seeking multiple network operations specialists to join our Enterprise Network Services (ENS) Operations team. Do not hesitate to highlight them on your resume! * Experience in financial services, technology vendors, or systems integrators. * Expertise with Ethernet technologies (STP, 802.1x, VPC, Multilayer Switching, Leaf-Spine IP Fabric). * Deep knowledge of IP routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP, MPBGP, TCP/IP) and multicast (PIM, IGMP, MSDP). * Hands-on experience with Cisco ASR, Nexus, Catalyst and Arista switches, and network operating systems (Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NXOS, IOS-XR, Arista EOS). * Strong background in network security concepts, multi-tier security architectures, and best practices for segmenting production and non-production networks. * Experience with network tools such as Wireshark, Infoblox, HPNA, Splunk, Sevone. * Familiarity with project/task management tools like JIRA, especially Agile/Kanban methods. * Knowledge of Unix/Linux. * Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCIE, AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Certified etc.) * Knowledge of Wireless infra, SDN, SDWAN, DMVPN, public cloud is a plus. * Strong grasp of security concepts (defense in depth, zero trust, least privilege, risk controls). * Public Cloud Networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP). * Experience with automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform, Jinja etc). * Experience with Optical equipment like Adva/Ciena. * Experience with timing infra like the spectracom/meinberg.What you'll bring to the role: * Several years of networking work experience * Strong scripting/automation skills * Able to independently develop solutions for repetitive network tasks. * Open to perform scheduled network changes and migrations during weekends and outside normal business hours as required.At Morgan Stanley Montreal, we support the Firm's global businesses and infrastructure with cutting edge technology and innovation.
