Managing the relationship with data vendors and acting as their primary sourcing contact for the firm. Negotiating all renewals and new agreements, as well as managing the full contractual lifecycle to standard firm guidelines Working with data providers, technology colleagues and internal business clients, on all levels, to understand and synthesize key data strategies across those areas and drive value for the firm. Developing and maintaining expertise in each managed vendor to formulate strategic recommendations. Applying data, vendor and industry knowledge to enhance the way the firm does business with the providers. Managing strategic direction for product demonstrations, pilots, competitive displacement opportunities Collaborating with the Legal, Finance and Business Management functions to address all contractual, commercial, compliance and other relationship issues as they arise. Leading efforts on various special projects often driven by organizational and/or strategic changes. Job requires a minimum of 3 days a week in the office Candidate must have business level of English language skills in both verbal and written communication. Candidate should have financial services work experience with a proven track record of managing key supplier engagements and a broad range of diverse consumer relationships. J.D. Degree with focus on contracts, intellectual property a plus Experience in negotiating complex agreements with a strong understanding of data usage compliance issues and intellectual property rights. Intellectually curious, articulate, detail oriented, proactive, assertive, and excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Ability to communicate market data strategies and to influence/gain buy-in for the ideas Strong project management, organizational and facilitation skills, with a detailed knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint. Some knowledge of Access is a plus..
