Profile DescriptionWe're seeking someone to join our team as (Lead Python Developer),The ideal candidate will lead a team of developers, establish technical standards, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable code while meeting business requirements.Investment_ManagementIn the Investment Management division, we deliver active investment strategies across public and private markets and custom solutions to institutional and individual investors.Fixed IncomeFixed Income capabilities span the full spectrum of actively managed solutions globally across debt markets. The Fixed Income organization includes seven specialized investment teams dedicated to investment excellence: Agency MBS, Broad Markets Fixed Income, Emerging Markets, Floating-Rate Loans, High Yield, Municipals, and Securitized.Data & Analytics EngineeringThis is Director position that provides specialist data analysis and expertise that drive decision-making and business insights as well as crafting data pipelines, implementing data models, optimizing data processes for improved data accuracy and accessibility, including applying machine learning and AI-based techniques.Morgan Stanley is an industry leader in financial services, known for mobilizing capital to help governments, corporations, institutions, and individuals around the world achieve their financial goals. Read on...What you'll do in the role:Lead the development team in building and maintaining our Python-based Front Office & ESG data platforms Design and implement efficient data processing pipelines using modern Python frameworks Architect database solutions across Snowflake and other SQL environments Establish coding standards, review code, and mentor junior team members on best practices Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders Ensure application security, performance, and scalability Drive continuous improvement in development practicesWhat you'll bring to the role:At least 6 years relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role6+ years of Python development experience (Python 3 preferred) 2+ years leading development teams Strong working knowledge of Linux CLI environments Strong expertise in data processing with Pandas or Polars Proven experience in building data pipelines and general data engineering practices Experience with database technologies including Snowflake and ORMs such as SQLAlchemy Proficiency developing REST APIs in Python Solid understanding of Python testing frameworks Experience with Docker containerization of Python applications Strong Git version control skills Excellent communication and leadership abilitiesWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
