Division

Wealth Managements Core Platform Services group provides horizontal services to all Wealth management Development Teams. Our mission is to provide stable and scalable infrastructure and technology solutions for entire Wealth Management. We serve as a centralized interface through which Wealth Management teams can obtain infrastructure solutions and project support by working closely with application owners throughout the SDLC process to ensure that established products/services are leveraged, and new requirements are fulfilled.

Core Platform Services

Core Platform Services is responsible for driving Resiliency, Automation, Performance, Stability, and Efficiency across Wealth Management Technology.

The Solution Development team is part of the Wealth Management Organization at Morgan Stanley. The team is responsible for driving the SDLC standards and guidelines across Wealth Management division. We create tools to automate the SDLC and deployment process to increase the efficiency and productivity of the application team.

We are looking for colleagues with strong sense of ownership and ability to drive solutions. The role is primarily responsible design & develop testing approach & strategy and execute critical programs, leverage or develop varied tools & automation frameworks, develop testing solutions, for the entire Wealth Management.

What you'll do in the role:

The candidate is expected to influence application design, creating or extending test automation frameworks for UI, UX, Services and Database level, configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and work closely with stakeholders spread across multiple divisions and geographies in delivering the highest quality products and testing solutions. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player committed to delivering on time and should be able to influence within and outside the team to adopt good testing standards.

Provide technical and thought leadership to testing teams as Wealth Management digitally transform to a cloud based, DevOps and Agile technology solution.

Craft and execute a Strategic Plan that includes resource management, budget and forecast allocations, team and individual goal setting, trainings, and development or implementation of innovative solutions and methodology etc.

Lead teams comprised of employees and consultants spread across geographies and ensure appropriate tools and methodologies are engaged.

Collaborate with Business, Operations, and Technology leads to develop, build out, and execute Integration programs.

Represent collective testing teams within meetings with Senior Leadership.

Perform reviews of budgeted vs actual and forecasted spend for the team to ensure team is operating within outlined budget.

Conduct upskilling and cross-skilling of teams on new technologies and domains.

As a technical problem solver, works with the team members in solving complex technology problems and challenges.

Review requirement specifications, identify gaps, and determine testability and testing implications.

Improvise testing and test automation processes and help define best practices while providing reusable and scalable ideas or solutions.

Ensure that team is in full compliance with the execution of test scripts and documentation of the results.

Perform periodic review of testing artifacts - reports, docs, test scenarios, automation scripts.

Conducts POC and R&D on new tools/technologies, assessment on their fitment and provide recommendations.

Provides technical leadership to junior team members and enable them to be effective and successful.

Work closely with business analysts, business subject matter experts and development teams to clarify and resolve testing issue Required Skills

What you'll bring to the role:

12+ years' experience with performing quality engineering and test automation delivery in a large financial service organization or major consulting organization.

5+ years of experience of leading large-scale QA programs.

Experience in collaborating effectively across a variety of IT and business groups, across regions, roles, and able to interact effectively with all levels.

Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. Experience in presenting to diverse audiences and conducting education and training.

Expertise with crafting senior management presentations and documentation of change requests.

Experience with project management tools & functions (MS Visio, MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint).

Proven record of execution of QA strategy and unification of QA processes across large departments or organizations.

Must have hands-on experience on Test Automation tools and frameworks evaluations, POC and R&D.

Experience in designing and development of end-to-end Test Automation frameworks - UI to Services to DB.

Expertise in automation development using Playwright, Selenium webdriver, Cucumber based frameworks.

Must have 5+ years of hands-on expertise on Java and Javascript.

Good to have experience on Python, Unsupervised Machine Learning (Clustering, Anomaly Detection), MLOps, model testing etc.

Experience in writing unit tests using PyTest, JEST etc.

5+ years of experience working on various Databases such as SQL Server, DB2 etc.

Experience in designing and developing backend services (REST APIs).

Experience in API test automation using any backend automation tool like JMeter, Rest Assured etc.

Should have hands-on experience in CI/CD using TeamCity, GIT, Jenkins, JIRA.

Knowledge of observability solutions such as Splunk, Grafana, Loki etc.

Knowledge of caching and session management and the related tools such as Redis.

Experience in Agile based scrum teams and solving complex problems.

Experience in working in teams spread across geographies and closely tracking deliverables

Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
