JAVA/AWS/BPMN Lead_Vice President_Software Engineering

  • Lead Agile-based product development. - Provide flexible solutions to complex business problems using our best technology practices. - Design and develop microservices. - A general understanding of API gateways, security entitlements, and event-based systems is desired. - Integrate with other services in the ecosystem or public APIs and databases. - Apply best-in-class engineering principles, optimized algorithms, and data structure techniques. - Conduct code reviews for other developers and participate in git merge reviews. - Keep abreast of technology trends/tools and recommend improvements to our technology when appropriate. - Research new cloud applications/open-source technologies and integrate them into existing services/APIs. - Offer technical and people leadership to Software Engineers. Skill set: Java / React / BPMN / Cloud Development (AWS preferred) / Microservices Architecture/ REST/Graphql - Bachelor's degree in computer science/computer engineering required. - 10+ years of hands-on full stack Java development experience, with React or any other JavaScript based frontend framework. - 3+ years supervising and guiding software development teams and fostering an engaging, collaborative environment. - 2+ years experience in cloud native services development (AWS preferred) - Knowledge about orchestration services, Docker and Kubernetes desired - Experience developing REST/Graphql API horizontally scalable services. - Experience in event-based architectures and messaging platforms like Kafka is desired. - Understanding of micro-services architecture/containerization - Familiarity with GIT version control system - Familiarity with continuous integration and build tools like Maven or Gradle - Hands-on experience with RDBMS and/or NoSql databases like DynamoDB and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch - Effective communication skills with business users and other developers - Experience in Camunda or any other BPMN based Process Orchestration Platform - Experience with Infrastructure as Code, specifically terraform.
