Role Description

NHSPC is seeking a Vice President-level professional to join its investment team. NHSPC seeks a highly motivated professional who can lead the full cycle of real estate loan investments, from sourcing and evaluating opportunities to underwriting, execution and monitoring investments across multiple asset classes and European jurisdictions. This role is ideal for professionals with proven expertise in European real estate lending and motivation to be part of an established and growing fund management platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, assess, and originate new real estate lending opportunities across European markets, ranging from investment grade quality to value-add credit propositions.
  • Full ownership of the deal process from initial screening to final closing.
  • Thorough due diligence on each transaction - including collateral analysis, engaging third-party consultants and reviewing due diligence reports.
  • Manage the credit underwriting, including detailed cash flow modelling, and investment approval process, including preparation of investment committee applications.
  • Lead negotiations from initial term sheet, to structuring loan terms, and finance documents.
  • Oversee investments, monitor performance and maintain borrower relationships.
  • Mentor and direct junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Support fund activities such as investor presentations, fund raising, marketing, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements
  • Proven experience in real estate lending roles, either in the real estate lending team of primary financial institutions or in the investment team of real estate credit funds. Experience across different asset classes and European markets strongly preferred.
  • Excellent academic background and achievements.
  • Established network and sourcing channels for real estate lending opportunities across sectors and European jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate term sheets and loan documentation directly with borrowers and legal counsel. Strong grasp of loan structuring, covenants, and key terms in LMA-type real estate credit agreements.
  • Outstanding analytical and financial modeling skills, ability to build and review deal models and perform credit analysis. Solid understanding of real estate valuation, credit metrics, and structuring principles.
  • Excellent project management skills to drive a transaction from initial stages through due diligence, approval, and closing.
  • Motivation to support fund-level activities such as interactions with investors, fund raising and fund portfolio management.
  • Ability to manage and tutor junior resources, foster a collaborative and team-oriented environment and participate in the growth of the platform.
  • Excellent communication skills, including in the preparation of investment committee applications and investor materials. Impeccable attention to detail, accuracy and accountability for work outputs.
