Internal Fraud Alerting Associate

Conduct thorough reviews of internal fraud alerts by analyzing transactional data, user behavior, and system access logs to detect potential account abuse or malicious activity. Prepare clear, concise, and audit-defensible notations that outline findings, escalation decisions, red flags, and rationale-demonstrating a holistic understanding of the situation under review. Apply investigative techniques to uncover patterns, connections between employees/accounts, or collusive behavior that could indicate organized internal fraud. Investigate and escalate suspected internal fraud incidents, including misuse of client accounts, transactional or account irregularities, data manipulation, or unauthorized system misuse, ensuring timely and well-documented responses. Proactively contribute to team discussions by identifying emerging trends, process inefficiencies, or gaps in current alerting logic and recommending improvements. Collaborate with internal partners across Compliance, Legal, HR, Cybersecurity, Investigations, and Strategy to deliver a coordinated and consistent fraud response. Maintain high quality and productivity standards, ensuring cases are worked within SLA and documented in real-time, with attention to investigative depth and data integrity. Support continuous enhancement of alert logic and participate in the transition to more automated and AI-assisted alerting capabilities. Apply now to join a forward-thinking, collaborative team on the frontlines of internal fraud detection. Strong Notation Skills - You excel in translating complex data and findings into written documentation that is clear, defensible, and decision-driven. Holistic Reviewer - You can zoom out to consider the broader picture: account history, behavioral red flags, transaction timing, and intent. Decisive and Accountable - You don't hesitate to make calls based on available information and stand behind your reasoning. Collaborative and Proactive - You work well in a team environment, communicate effectively, and contribute to shared goals while bringing ideas to the table. Detail-Oriented - You consistently notice anomalies and ensure all required documentation and follow-through is handled precisely. Process-Minded - You look for ways to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and incorporate technology to enhance efficiency.
