  • Formulate and lead a wide range of credit review activities to assess risks within coverage areas and the state of controls in place to mitigate them, including the appropriateness of internal and regulatory risk ratings, credit approvals, credit monitoring and compliance with internal policy and regulatory guidance - Provide credible review and challenge of the firm's credit risk processes to management and regulators - Proactively identify existing and emerging risks, and factor into these into risk assessment and credit review coverage - Articulate actionable insights to management regarding criticality and impact of risks to the business - Effectively partner with colleagues and stakeholders globally to drive effective working relationships between teams in EMEA, NY and Mumbai - Align projects and initiatives with department and coverage area priorities, and oversee team's execution of deliverables in accordance with credit review and audit methodology and quality standards - Act as the key representative of CRG in London, and liaison between CRG and the EMEA-based IAD, CRM and Business Unit stakeholders - Liaise with local EMEA and U.S. regulators (e.g., Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), Federal Reserve, OCC, etc.) - At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role - Leadership experience in credit risk management and/or credit review role at a large, multinational peer institution or global credit risk rating agency - Strong understanding of credit risk/review principles, methodology, and processes - Sector-specific knowledge in commercial real estate, leveraged lending, asset-based lending, allowance for loan loss reserves, non-bank financial institutions, sovereign analysis, Shared National Credit (SNC) process, etc. - Advanced knowledge of industry and global markets drivers and regulations relevant to coverage areas - Strong understanding of audit principles, methodology, tools and processes (e.g., risk assessments, planning, testing, reporting and continuous monitoring) - An understanding of the PRA, EMEA, OCC, FED and other EMEA regulatory guidelines on various credit related matters including, but not limited to, rating credit risk, counterparty credit risk, identification of default, etc. - Ability to articulate risk and impact clearly and succinctly to different audiences, and leverage and analyze data to inform focus and views on risk - Effective change and project management techniques and ability to support teams in adapting new ways of working - Ability to coach and mentor others and create an inclusive work environment for team Our values - putting clients first, doing the right thing, leading with exceptional ideas, committing to diversity and inclusion, and giving back - aren't just beliefs, they guide the decisions we make every day to do what's best for our clients, communities and more than 80,000 employees in 1,200 offices across 42 countries.
