We are looking for a Controller (AVP-Level), who is working within the Global Corporate Controllers (GCC) Team. GCC is the largest function within the Global Finance division of Morgan Stanley. GCC encompasses Legal Entity Controllers, Regulatory Controllers, Accounting Policy and Regulatory Policy as well as other teams. This role will be based in the Frankfurt office of Morgan Stanley. A philosophy that balances personal lifestyles, perspectives and needs is an important part of our culture.What will you be doing? * Work in the GCC Projects team within Frankfurt Finance, reporting to the Head of GCC Projects in Frankfurt * Coordinate major regulatory deliverables for the Frankfurt Finance division, e.g. bi-annual ECB Stress Tests * Contribute towards and/ or lead projects in relation to a significant regulatory change and improvements agenda. Scope of the role includes all reports and processes within the GCC function covering Financial Reporting, Statistical Reporting and Capital Reporting * Communicate and escalate issues to Senior Management on a timely basis * Develop collaborative working relationships with a range of stakeholders across different departments and regions including Finance, Technology and Operations within Frankfurt, London, Glasgow, New York and Mumbai * Partner with Clients, Technology, data providers and other Projects teams to analyze, prioritize, test and implement business requirements in relation to existing and/ or new IT systems * Partner with Clients to analyze, document, improve and streamline existing process and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements * Prepare regular project updates and status reporting for Clients and Senior ManagementWhat we're looking for: * A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the financial services industry in the EU * Self-motivated with the ability to work consistently and efficiently to achieve goals either as an individual or as part of a team * Business fluency in English essential, business fluency in German is an advantage * A proven track record of working on and/ or leading successful regulatory change projects * Experience of working on ECB Stress Tests desired * Experienced at data modelling and investigation with the ability to identify issues, develop and implement practical solutionsSkills that will help you in the role: * Strong analytical, organizational and documentation skills with an ability to understand processes and key controls. Experienced at implementing change effectively in order to improve existing processes * Good knowledge of Investment Banking business and related products desired * Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage to tight deadlines whilst balancing multiple priorities * Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and ability to liaise with colleagues/ clients at all levels * Strong computing skills, most notably Microsoft OfficeWhere will you be working?This role sits within the Global Corporate Controllers (GCC) function.
