We're seeking someone to join our team as a Director in the Fixed Income Securities Trade Support covering Emerging Markets. The Director will work closely with the Business Units and Infrastructure partners in realizing the Firm's objectives. What you'll do in the role: * Serve as a subject matter expert within functional area, working with Team Manager to manage processes, risks and/or projects, proposing and implementing improvements/changes * Act as key problem solver for area or expertise, applying detailed knowledge to address unique or novel situations, recognize risks and draw out key issues * Coordinate work, train and develop other team members where required, including task allocation, and project contribution * Ensuring that all trades are booked and confirmed as intended by checking the Trading system verses internal MS systems, liaising with Trading, Sales, Brokers or the Counterparty directly * Intermediary between the Trading desk and other areas of the Bank. Controllers, Settlements and Confirmations areas will come to you to discuss and resolve issues to ensure that breaks are resolved effectively What you'll bring to the role: * Ability to lead by example, work with drive and determination, and put forward challenging views to senior levels * Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of functional area and operational/compliance policies and procedures of their team * Ability to operate independently across the majority of day-to-day responsibilities * Culture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core values and acting as a role model * Strong risk management and control mindset * Individual needs to be performance-driven, proactive, with proven ability to take on challenges, set and execute agenda. * Candidate should be a dynamic self-starter with the ability to work either on their own initiative as well as be a solid team player with strong problem-solving skills * At least 5 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role * Ability to evaluate and identify areas of risk across the organization. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
