Position Description:

The Commodities Division is seeking a highly motivated Analyst to join the Global Commodities COO team to support business development and efficiency across the group . The candidate will work with business heads across Global Commodities, the Sales and Trading desks as well as colleagues across Strats, IT, Risk, Finance, Operations, Legal, Compliance and other FID business lines.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the Commodities COO team and Commodities business heads in business development, business strategy and key priorities.
  • Assist in the development and execution of tools to promote efficiency.
  • Aggregate, analyze and reconcile large data sets in support of key initiatives.
  • Create strategic presentations and materials for Commodities Management
  • Coordinate business planning, headcount and budget setting across global Commodities and FID
  • Collaborate with Firm partners across IED, IBD and GCM
  • Assist in tracking and enhancing reporting for revenue, expenses, and sales credits
  • Manage expenses including allocations, market data, subscriptions and vendor contracts


Education/Experience:
  • At least 1-2 years professional experience in an investment banking, internal strategy or strategy consulting role.
  • University/college degree in a relevant field


Skills:
  • Has quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills - is a quick learner, adaptable to changing business requirements.
  • Exercises judgment with a strong work ethic
  • Able to execute quickly, multi-task and prioritize
  • Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills with the highest attention to detail - including strong note taking and information distillation skills
  • Is a strong team-player and collaborator - enthusiastic and motivated with a professional attitude and demeanor.
  • Interested and knowledgeable in the finance industry
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
