As a leading global asset manager, products cover all asset classes, UCITs and AIF structures, distribution across 25+ countries and over $150bn. The Team is broadly divided into a Product Development function, whose responsibility it is to define, develop and deliver products needed to support MSIM's strategy and a Product Management function, responsible for ensuring that the legal vehicle structures through which MSIM's strategies are being delivered continue to remain viable and competitive vis-a-vis competitors and the defined target market and comply with all regulatory requirements. What you'll do in the role:Responsible for the management of non-US fund legal vehicles and their sub-funds, including: * Structuring and developing fund solutions including UCITs, Money Market Funds, ETFs and Alternative Investment Funds across the full range of asset classes for the MSIM's broad client base. * Lead any new fund launches ensuring that the appropriate business case has been made. * Support sales in structuring client bespoke opportunities, including acting as a subject matter expert at client meetings as required. * Manage relationships with product stakeholders across divisions. * Interaction with Senior MSIM Committees, Management Company/AFIM and Fund Boards, including presenting across the full product range as required. * Drive new product development opportunities to grow both product range and AUM. * Leadership of the product lifecycle including fund changes, mergers closures and legal entity changes. * To oversee, provide guidance, represent the Team at various meetings and to senior management and to assist with issue resolution in relation to the following areas: * Take the lead in complex, strategic projects including commercial, regulatory and governance objectives. * Contribute to market analysis in order to identify product opportunities as well as to improve the competitive positioning of the product range. What you'll bring to the role: * The candidate must possess a detailed knowledge and understanding of the European mutual funds industry, especially as it relates to UCITS, Money Market Funds, ETFs, AIFs and Private Funds. * Experience working within a Senior Product Development role. * Previous experience in the development of complex fund solutions and bespoke client solutions. * A strong balance of quantitative, qualitative and commercial skills * Strong communication and presentation skills. * Previous line management required. * Knowledge of structuring and the operation of mutual funds in non-European jurisdictions would be an added advantage. * The candidate must have a broad understanding of the asset management industry and its various operating functions.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
