Equity OTC Exotic Trade Support, Associate
We're seeking someone to join our team as a Equity OTC Exotic Trade Support, Associate in ISG Equity Operations to acts as the central point of contact for the front-to-back flows of the businesses that it supports, which requires close partnership across a wide network of internal departments including Sales & Trading, Financial engineering, Treasury, Controllers, Client Service, Settlements, IT, Legal & Compliance, Regulatory & Transaction Reporting and other operational support areas. TSG owns the key controls within trade support operations, and acts as the coordinator for day-to-day booking & break resolution functions.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Associate level position within the Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What you'll do in the role:
New product setups and trade capture within the Firm's upstream risk management systems and downstream sub-ledger for products issued by MS entities.
- Lifecycle management & event notification for OTC & Structured Products, calculation of complex product payoffs.
- Partner closely with Sales & Trading on desk and client queries or ad-hoc requests.
- Liaise with external issuing and paying agents (IPAs) & clearing houses to process payments and settlements related to Structured Products.
- Perform daily reconciliation and clearance of position, product & internal accounting breaks that ultimately affect the MS balance sheet.
- Ensure identification, timely escalation & resolution of control related issues.
- Develop and maintain detailed desktop procedures outlining the team's activities.
- Generate & implement business process improvements including automation, capacity enhancements, control framework and new business initiatives.
- Generate metrics and KRI/KPI reporting for global operations senior management.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Previous experience in Trade Support function is highly preferred.
- Understanding in equity derivative products and their lifecycle.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment and deliver results under stress.
- Ability to understand complex problems and grasp new concepts quickly.
- Ability to think laterally and recognize opportunities for system/process improvement.
- At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
