The available position is a Senior Associate or Vice President level position on the Non-Market Risk team within the Institutional Equity Division (IED) Business Control Unit. IED provides liquidity, distributes content, and creates product solutions to help service our clients. Non-Market Risk Managers within IED focus on supporting the Division to manage risk through a comprehensive framework of policy setting, risk identification and controls in response to market, counterparty, regulatory, economic and other factors, as appropriate. The individual will be required to work with various groups across the Firm, including IED business personnel, control functions and support areas (e.g., Legal, Technology, Operations, Finance), 2nd line risk functions (e.g., Compliance, Financial Crimes Risk, Credit Risk) and Audit. The individual will be responsible for implementing and supporting large scale processes and projects designed to identify and mitigate regulatory and/or operational risks specifically focusing on the Delta One Structured Products (DSP) and Securities Lending (SL) businesses within IED. Training will be provided as needed.Job Responsibilities may include: * Supporting the business to prosecute new or expanded activities, including partnering to identify and implement solutions in the development of new products * Aid the business in progressing implementation of the regulatory agenda and supporting ongoing regulatory engagement * Drive enhancement to the governance and control framework, including proposing processes and innovative solutions to address risk issues * Involvement in leading various risk management projects * Drafting or reviewing senior management presentation material * Participating as an IED representative in Firm-wide working groups and governance forums to assess how different initiatives impact the IED businessRequired Skills * 4-7 years of relevant professional experience in Financial Services or related field * Self-starter with a positive outlook and desire to solve problems * Strong analytical skills with an ability to understand complex workflows * Proven ability to take ideas forward and to challenge others with integrity and maturity * Ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely and effective manner and thrive in a fast-paced environment that lends itself to changing priorities and quick turnaround * Excellent and concise oral and written communication skills across various levels of seniority in an organization demonstrated by clearly articulating objectives, requirements, risks and issues * Strong project management skills * Exceptional organizational skills and a high degree of attention to detail * Strong Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft applications such as Word and PowerPoint WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years. There's also ample opportunity to move about the business for those who show passion and grit in their work.Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $130,000 per year for Associate, and between $140,000 and $200,000 per year for VP, at the commencement of employment.
