- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm - Lead end-to-end processes and/or programs that require complex decision making, advanced understanding of client and stakeholder needs and subject matter expertise - Understand and adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; own risk and contingency plans for business area - Act as a role model and culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and team accountable to Firm standards -Assisting with the development of tax-efficient structures for investment vehicles utilized by the various funds. -Regularly advising the BU in connection with, monitoring and managing tax risks of existing investment products and their investments. -Monitoring and coordinating tax sign-off, documentation of tax positions and relevant tax reporting of investment structures and fund vehicles. -Advising the business units on guidelines for the tax structuring of investment acquisitions and dispositions. -Working closely with senior members of the BU in raising investor capital. -As part of a global team, candidate may be required to travel. -Manage, attract, develop and retain talent for team within Finance while creating an inclusive environment; translate Firmwide goals into actionable goals for department/function - Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, industry, and competitive environment and technical skills, including risks and key regulations relevant to the division - Ability to inspire and support others by providing positive and constructive feedback and to acknowledge efforts of and promote team members - Ability to manage risk and impact to functional area, and create plans to mitigate those risks > Strong project management and people management skills. Should be able to help manage complex issues among diverse stakeholders. > Experience in international / cross-border transactions including liaising with international network of advisers. > Thorough knowledge of taxation of private equity and real estate investments and funds. > Strong background with international (in particular, Asian) tax systems, (including familiarity with OECD's BEPS initiative and related developments) as well as U.S rules. > Significant client responsibility within either big four accounting firm or law firm or experience overseeing internal tax group. > This candidate should have a law degree or be a licensed CPA and must possess strong technical and analytical abilities, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently.
