> Serve as a collaborative subject matter expert to other lawyers within the Legal and Compliance Division and provide advice to functional areas and regional business units on privacy and cybersecurity laws and requirements. > Assist in the maintenance and improvement the Firm's cybersecurity and privacy law program, coordinating privacy, fraud, and cybersecurity legal requirements. > Maintain current knowledge of applicable state, federal and international cybersecurity, privacy, fraud and system resilience laws and regulations, and work with internal stakeholders, law enforcement, and regulators to respond to and remediate incidents. > Maintain and disseminate monthly, enterprise-level communications to business, legal, risk, and compliance partners on emerging national and international trends and issues in cybersecurity and privacy law. > J.D. with a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience, including experience in or with financial services firms. > Knowledge of U.S. privacy and cybersecurity law, including but not limited to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the California Consumer Privacy Act, CAN SPAM, TCPA, federal interagency guidance on information security and breach response programs, state breach notification statutes, and data security frameworks (e.g. NIST, PCI-DSS, NY DFS 500, etc.). > Knowledge of cutting-edge information technology, web, mobile, and their privacy and data security implications with a strong interest in financial services technology. > Experience with artificial intelligence technology and emerging artificial intelligence regulatory regimes in the U.S. and internationally. > Admitted to practice in a U.S. state > Ability to interact and effectively advise senior members of the Firm and its business units > Strong problem-solving skills and ability to understand practical solutions to legal problems are a must > Polished written and verbal communication skills; position requires executive presence as well as an ability to tailor messaging to audiences (senior and less senior, lawyers and non-legal professionals, etc.) > Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a group or independent setting > Proven track record of meeting deadlines, learning quickly, taking the initiative, working proactively, being resourceful and shouldering additional responsibility > Willingness to be flexible and agile when shifting business priorities or external forces impact team coverage needs > Ability to work collaboratively on a team, supporting and championing both individual and team success in helping the Firm meet its goals > Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in an efficient and effective manner > International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Certification (e.g. CIPP/US, CIPT, CIPM, AIGP) helpful, but not required Our values - putting clients first, doing the right thing, leading with exceptional ideas, committing to diversity and inclusion, and giving back - aren't just beliefs, they guide the decisions we make every day to do what's best for our clients, communities and more than 80,000 employees in 1,200 offices across 42 countries. Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000.00 and $190,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment.
