Team and Position Overview
The Client Segment - Exams and Operational Risk Team (CSR_EOR) is a first line of defense function responsible for overseeing the operational risks and controls of Wealth Management's Client Segments business units.
The CSR_EOR Team provides a (1) centralized operational risk control oversight and/or support function across Client Segment Business Units, and (2) business risk control processes for WM Field organization. Because the team acts as a shared / utility function it enables consistency in execution of risk programs as well as Client Segment engagement and reporting.

The team partners with business stakeholders, second and third lines of defense to assess and report on operational risks, implement control processes and procedures, manage audits and exams, oversee vendor risks, manage business continuity plans, and conduct the annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).
This team is actively growing and taking on more responsibilities, so we are looking for an individual who can handle change and growth in a fast-paced environment.

The Licensing and Business Risk Team is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Associate to join our team, supporting the Licensing and Business Risk (LBR) program. This role is pivotal in maintaining and delivering key components of the program, including data management, communications, and reporting, to support our onshore activities. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual contributor with a keen eye for detail and a passion for process improvement.

Role Primary Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities for this role will be to support onshore resources with supporting risk management and oversight of activities within the areas Licensing and Registration:

In this risk focused role, a candidate will be required to:

> Conduct Risk Management for LBR Program: Provide essential support in the periodic monitoring of employee conduct risk management activities. This includes establishing and enhancing processes to effectively monitor these activities.
o Perform monthly licensing and registration monitoring by creating, updating, and analyzing reports, identifying exceptions, and communicating with the targeted population.
o Develop and maintain licensing tracker files for new businesses within scope.
o Conduct annual and ad-hoc role reviews - focusing on data updates and analysis.
o Verify quarterly supervisory alignment to ensure compliance and accuracy.
o Monitor Continuing Education (CE) progress and generate CE reports for distribution before and after the Firm's deadline.
> Process Optimization: Proactively identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements within existing processes to support CSR optimization efforts, thereby enhancing the overall risk management program.
> Recordkeeping and Data Management: Assist with recordkeeping management and engage in ad hoc data reconciliation, presentation preparation, and data clean-up as required.
> Cross-Functional Support: Cross-train and assist with various business risk activities as needed. This includes oversight functions related to flexible work arrangements for licensed employees, phishing, mandatory enforced vacation, outstanding training, corporate device management, and branch reference data.
> Project Contribution: Actively contribute to ongoing and new projects aimed at establishing and maintaining robust LBR processes. Support appropriate risk governance by applying project management best practices. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
> Thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of their responsibilities to ensure partner success and satisfaction.
> Understanding and/or aptitude to learn about the regulatory rules that govern the conduct of Financial Advisors, investment products, portfolio advisory platforms, and banking services.
> Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to concisely summarize and/or present complex ideas.
> Strong leadership, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
> Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
> Strong project management and organizational skills - ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines, balancing daily deliverables and strategic projects.
> Strong data analytical skills.
> Proficient in MS office suite (e.g. PowerPoint and Excel) and comfortable learning new programs/systems
> Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to deliver consistent quality results.
> Ability to thoroughly investigate issues and trends with a focused attention to detail to provide comprehensive solutions and remedies.

Experience
> 3-6 years of experience supporting corporate business processes/programs.
> A plus: Risk or Compliance experience
> A plus: Experience in Financial Services; with preference to Wealth Management experience and business knowledge.

Education
> Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
