The team has responsibility for the implementation of the Bank's Regulatory and Compliance programs in the Business Unit as the First Line of Defense. The Associate will sit full-time in Mumbai, India, and will be assisting various Regulatory Risk and Compliance programs for US Banks products and services. Working in the team gives a fantastic opportunity to gain understanding of US Banks regulatory environment. The individual will be exposed to different business groups, initiatives and work closely with Legal and Compliance personnel and other relevant stakeholdersResponsibilities:• Develop understanding of Regulation W to assess and enhance internal controls• Assist in the daily monitoring of Regulation W limits and ensure banks stays in compliance with regulation.• Analyze transactions between bank and affiliates, identify and analyze issues and ensure timely resolution• Retain documentation of the discussions/investigations• Assisting in the periodic Internal Audit and Compliance tests• Working on new business initiatives and responding to the information requests from Business Units, Financial Advisors and Private Bankers• Review the current processes, identify areas of improvement, assist in designing and implementing new processes• Compile data and prepare presentations for senior management review• Drafting, updating, and maintaining Reg W business/support area procedures Qualifications:• A bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is required• Strong analytical skills and innate ability to connect the dots• 3 to 5 years of experience in the financial services industry. • Experience in regulatory compliance activities or internal audit is a plus• Excellent Oral and Written communication skills• Working knowledge of SQL• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, ever-changing environmentWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
