Business Analyst, Vice President - Institutional Securities Tech
We're seeking someone to join our Institutional Securities Tech (IST) COO team as a Business Analyst, Vice President that will be responsible for a broad scope of business management responsibilities including governance, financial and process management, communications and reporting.
This role would suit someone looking for exposure to multiple different areas of the operational management space and who is comfortable to switch context across a broad range of business management, reporting, and governance tasks. As the lead business analyst, you will also take the lead on divisional communications during a period of maternity leave, ensuring continuity and clarity in internal and external messaging.

What you'll do in the role:
Governance & Operational Management
- Respond to tactical and strategic reporting requirements, including management and financial reporting, data structure and integrity, performance metrics and KPIs
- Be comfortable working with data and performing analysis using pivot tables and other tools
- Lead or support the "productionisation" of reporting requirements with Human Resources and related teams
- Take accountability for accurate representation and ongoing administration of key projects, including data governance, budget planning, and resource management
- Provide ad-hoc financial and business analysis to support organizational goals
- Act as a single point of contact in managing financial / resource data and reporting
- Support planning activities, focusing on manpower and infrastructure capital investment
- Build relationships and influence colleagues across divisions, including senior management
Communications Leadership (Maternity Leave Cover Only)
- Lead IST COO team communications during the maternity leave period, including drafting and distributing internal updates, newsletters, and key announcements
- Act as the primary liaison for communications with internal stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment on governance, reporting, and project updates
- Prepare presentations, talking points, and written materials for senior management and external audiences as required
- Manage the Technology External Engagement (TEE) oversight process reviewing speaker talking points and presentations ensuring key messages align with Firm initiatives
- Ensure all communications reflect the team's priorities, progress, and culture of inclusion and transparency

Agile & Reporting Transformation
- Support the adoption and reporting of agile practices (e.g., Rally platform), ensuring alignment of capacity with business priorities and consistent reporting
- Coordinate efforts to aggregate and report on the book of work, normalize data, and document best practices
- Develop and monitor KPIs, ensuring data quality and accountability for outcomes
- Develop roadmaps for MIS/reporting suite and drive continuous improvement
What you'll bring to the role:
- 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, management reporting, or business analysis
- Experience in data governance, budget/resource management, and operational reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and writing skills
- Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to engage a diverse set of stakeholders, build long term relationships and promote cross platform collaboration
- Ability to communicate clearly at multiple levels and across functions
- Proactive, self-starter with good judgement and superior decision-making skills
- Experience with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Rally, Jira)
- Experience leading communications or acting as a communications focal point
- PowerBI, VBA or other automation skills

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $210,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
