Morgan Stanley has a position available in its Bank Regulatory Legal group for an attorney with bank regulatory experience with a government agency, major bank holding company and/or law firm. Experience with lending, derivatives, securities matters, investment management, and/or corporate transactions will be helpful. The position offers an opportunity to join a global financial services firm with work that presents challenging and often unique transactional, operational and structural issues. The ideal candidate will have 4 or more years of relevant experience in the bank regulatory practice of a major law firm, bank, or federal banking agency. The position will be with the Bank Regulatory Legal group in Morgan Stanley's Legal and Compliance Division in the NY metro area reporting to the Head of Bank Regulatory Legal, who reports to the U.S. Banks' General Counsel. Morgan Stanley's Bank Regulatory Legal group offers advice to internal clients globally across all of the Firms' business segments (Institutional Securities, Wealth Management, and Investment Management) on a range of bank regulatory issues, including the application of Regulations K, Y, and W. Attorneys in the group provide bank-specific advice on issues arising from businesses and products conducted at the firm's national bank subsidiaries including on transaction structures, documentation and execution standards and related corporate matters. A J.D., practical experience in U.S. bank regulatory law, including (but not limited to) the Bank Holding Company Act, the National Bank Act, the Federal Deposit Insurance Act, the Federal Reserve Act and the Dodd-Frank Act, and regulations issued thereunder by the federal banking agencies.
