Automation Engineer - VP

Define and prioritize strategic initiatives for the cloud and infrastructure engineering team. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to align technology solutions with business objectives. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to related to trading infrastructure Monitor and report on key performance indicators to track the effectiveness of trading infrastructure. Drive process improvements and standardization to enhance operational efficiency. Participate in technology road mapping and planning exercises to support long-term business goals. Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate software code developed in the project. Demonstrable scripting experience in Python including extracting and updating data in enterprise data sources and interacting with the networks. Complex Bash Script and the trade-offs of CLI Scripting versus Python vs a structured language Experience working on shared code bases using best practices in CI / Source Control / Release Management and Change Control Application and Infrastructure Configuration management Automated build / packaging experience - Ansible, RPM, Puppet, Chef, Salt Data structures formats (JSON/YAML/XML) Efficient interaction with databases such as SQL/Redis/mongo/NoSQL Flask / Django for mock-up GUIs for others. Streaming Data programming Linux Systems. Strong Experience in Linux Systems. Must be capable of demonstrating high levels of proficiency from the command line. Understanding of network principles (routing, switching, TCP, DNS, SSL, http) Automated OOB Management - Redfish Implement software development processes and practices (e.g., Functional Specification and Testing, Code reviews, Unit Testing, and Monitoring) Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proven leadership and team management skills. Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). Experience in developing and implementing cloud and Trading infrastructure strategies. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Strong sense of ownership/accountability Must have the ability to work in our dynamic, fast paced environment. Demonstrated self-growth outside the office. Desire to learn and adapt to new technology. Must be comfortable presenting to global audiences on a regular basis. Ability to prioritize along with good time management skills. Outstanding attention to detail and communication skills Automation / Tools / Data / Integration Other languages like (Golang, rust, Java) or other high-level programming / scripting tooling Streaming Data programming such as Kafka/ActiveMQ/RabbitMQ or NIFI. Service Now Ecosystem AWS/GCP, Terraform etc. automated provisioning tool chains. OCI Container and Execution Frameworks (Docker, Podman) K8S (OpenShift, Rancher etc.) Jupyter Lab for analytics, including standard libraries like NumPy/panda/matplotlib) Knowledge of Intermediate (No) SQL Skills Trading System Application Configuration / Deployment / Management Experience Ability to drive the design, engineering, integration, and enhancement of Agile and IaC enablement tools and applications by utilizing DevOps practices.
