Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks an Associate, Risk / Policy Management in New York, NYDevelop, enhance, and maintain Commodities Value at Risk, Risk Not in VaR, and FRTB models. Analyze, understand, and explain the changes in risk metrics due to model and position changes. Implement market risk models and analysis frameworks/tools in Python. Collaborate with Model Risk Management for validation of risk models. Respond to audit and regulatory requests. Discuss with market risk managers on model change, concepts, and assumptions. Collaborate with IT on framework development and production change. Communicate with various teams such as Front Office and Finance. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $126,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.Requirements:Requires a Master's degree in Physics, Finance, or a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years as a Risk Analyst, or a closely related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience with: quantitative risk modelling using historical simulation, Monte Carlo simulation, and stress scenario-based; statistics including probabilities, distribution, value at risk, and expected shortfall; implementing production risk models using Python and Excel; financial products and derivative pricing; production model development and management including documentation, monitoring framework, and periodic reviews; preparing committee materials and internal documentations utilizing PowerPoint, Excel, Word; communicating about model development concepts and direction with model users and senior managements; general risk management framework including three lines of defense, market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, operational risk, and e-trading risk; and capital requirement in relation to quantified risk.Qualified Applicants:To apply, visit us at https://morganstanley.eightfold.ai/careers?source=mscom and enter JR000557 in the search field.
